Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. in the television and film industry, she is known for her numerous awards and nominations. Bassett comes originally from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett's mother had split from her father at around five. Her younger sister then relocated from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. While in high school Bassett watched John Steinbeck's drama Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980. Masters of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
